What could be good about it, other than a temporary hit. Do you want to be an addict? This is a lifetime problem you'd have to deal with, plus a big waste of money.
The downsides have not been exaggerated by the government. Ask any drug abuser who is in rehab.

Screw the government. Get the facts for yourself. I do alot of work at homeless shelters in Camden, NJ, one of the worst drug areas in the nation and I see first hand what crack can do. After years of use, it's like you're mentally retarted. The brain can't control itself, and speech problems occur. If this is implying that you do crack (which i hope not), seek help soon. YES! It has killed, and YES there is a reason why it's illegal.
take care and God bless.

OK, I am sorry ... but, this is a stupid question.
Short term effects -----
Anxiety and paranoia
Aggressive, paranoid behavior
Depression
Intense drug craving
Increased blood pressure and heart rate
Long term effects -----
Sudden death - even one use can cause overdose or death
Auditory and tactile hallucinations
Heart attack and heart disease
Stroke
Respiratory failure
Brain seizures
Sexual dysfunction (for both men and women)
Reproductive damage and infertility (for both men and women)
Increased frequency of risky behavior
Death
*** People get addict to crack so easly. Why try something that you know will only cause you harm***

"Are there any negative affects from smoking crack?"
LOLOL....OMG, are you kidding? Is this like the girl who said "I haven't had a period in 6 months and I have this huge lump in my belly....could I be pregnant?"
