Hi definitely the best by far are the good hair day straighteners sold at "leading salons" or they have a website. They are quick easy to use and can create lovely crisp curls for that "Special night out" but the only draw back is they can cost over £100 but I asure you they are brilliant and you can get a thin or a wider version depending on your hair length - go to your salon or a good salon and ask them to straighten your hair with them before you buy. You may have to pay for the privilege but it will be far cheaper to do this that spend the money and decide you don't like them. Also Redkin straightening balm is great as well! friendly advice from a girl who has Monica/ Holiday hair when there is any hint of dampness in the air - I no longer have this problem "thanks to GHD straighteners!!!"

Check out the Matrix Sleek Line! It is a product line directed toward straightening hair (temporarily)! It has a Shampoo, Conditioner, Extreme or Lite Cream, Water- Free Lock Out Spray, Hair Spray, Serums, etc! Make sure to use the water-free lockdown spray once you are finished styling! I swear by this product... It is humidity resistant and keeps hair sleek and straight since it forbids humidty from penetrating the hair shaft! You do not need to use all the products in the line. Start with the Shampoo, Conditioner, Cream (either lite or extreme), and Water Free Lock Out Spray!
Always remember to use a thermal protectant spray before any heat styling!

Hi my hair is thick and the only one that is good for my hair and keep it in condition as well is a GHD haor straightener they are worth the money and i got mine from a hairdressers in the town i live in. I seen mine in the window so maybe if you walk passed you will see them in one of your hairdressers. Or you can buy them of the website. There around £100 but are worth it as i wasted neary thatmuch on loads of hair straighteners that just wreck my hair. So GHD is what i recommend to you and they will be hot enough to straighten you thick hair as some cheaper ones dont get hot enough and pull like hell where as ghds glide through and dont snag. Kodo are alot cheaper and get really hot which is good to straighten out thick hair but they also damage alot and after a while they lose there straigtening ability and wrack hair even more. So GHDS are best but either get them from the website or a hairdressers near you, not from a site claming they are cheaper to buy, but if its nessacary you do find you self getting one cheaper check it comes in the GHD box and that it has the holograhic sticker on it them you know its a genuine GHD.

Ghd's are the best (the hottest so don't over use). The best way i keep my hair poker straight is shampooing then use a really good conditioner, not the 2 in 1's. blow dry straight then use straighteners. Also i find using straighting balms and creams actually make your hair curl up so keep in clean of products like this. Hope that helps :)

GHD's definitely. The standard size are OK for most or there are thinner tongs for short hair and extra wide for hair such as Afro-Caribbean texture. You can find them on-line if you do a search or from many good salons.

They are expensive but really work. I can sleep on mine all night and it is usually still straight in the morning. Don't waste your money on cheaper tongs - they're just nowhere near as good and the results don't last as long. Hope this helps

The best straighteners are Ghds and they work the best on all kinds of hair, allthough they are rather expensive. Babyliss ones work just as well. Don't buy cheap straightners though, as they won't work!

The best straighteners on market have to be GHD, You could check out the medium sized plates or the large salon stylers. However the salon stylers were orignally meant for afro-carribean hair they are still really good for thick european hair or asian hair.

check out the following links for some great deals on GHD's
