I am a completely new poker player and i would like to learn the game and the rules so would like to play just for fun on the internet. So hopefully would like to find a site where you dont have to put in money, or maybe "fake" money.

I like pokerstars.com or pokerstars.net. Either one will let you play with fake money. Partypoker.net is also for playing with fake money. What I like about pokerstars is that they have lots of tournaments that you can play in with just 300 fake dollars. The tourneys last longer, and really hone your skills better.

I like to play at Party Poker if your going to play with fake chips. Most online poker room have places that players can play with fake chips to learn the game and the software.

Well if you just don't want to put money in but still maybe win something, http://www.ultimatepokerbankroll.com has a couple sites listed that give you a no deposit bonus.
Or you could try signing up at Poker.com, http://www.pokercs.com/_1c082a9cf0dcfc9c3c43ac8a3f66f869/ They run a ton of freeroll tournaments where you can win a cash prize without paying anything to enter, and normal "fake" money games.

There are a bunch of places you can play. I don't recommend Yahoo! Poker. I really don't think you'll learn much and they are soooo slowwww there. try one of these and good luck!!!

Pokerstars.com you need to download a small program but can then play for fun endlessly or play for real money when you learn the game.
