Churches need to DEFINITELY reform. They've become archaic and are losing young people by the thousands.

Becoming hip hop oriented? Hey, whatever brings parishoners!

When was the last time you heard of a drive by hugging? Hip hop is a twisted thing of greed and pride. It fills people's heads with lies about money and false love and hatred. I have never heard a good Hip Hop song yet, everything is so shallow. This is not because I don't want to, it is because no one has the light in them to do it. I am not saying that your view is incorrect, but that there is much that COULD be done that simply isn't. Thanks for the suggestion, i will take it under advisement.

I tried to get the Catholic Church to open up a little bit... telling them that Gregorian Chant really has appeal when put to a beat so that the younger folk could enjoy... seriously... but I got ignored time and time again... go figure. I'm not kidding either. Their position is that "primal beats" are satanic and lead to sexuality and so on... Enigma took a beating from the Pope, so hip hop isn't likely to surface too soon in conservative Catholic Church's, which are going back to women covering their heads and Latin anyway...

What is being reformed when you get down and get jiggy with it?

Who are you praising anyway the music or God?

Any music that has you more into what it is doing instead of focusing on the worship of God is not correct.
Please mind me, I don't mind the music having the beat and all of that.....BUT when the music changes to where God is not number one in what you are doing then it is not correct.

God is worthy of all the praise. Music and anything else is only an instrument to which to Praise God and not the other way around.

God Bless You.

If you're talking about corporate worship probably not because the Bible says that worship should be reverent and in order, but when it comes to outreach, I say of course. There is a lot of good urban Christian and hip-hop music.

Saw a website the other day where you can get ordained online in an instant. Why not do that and open your own church. Set an example for others to follow.
Big tax breaks by being a non-profit organization too.

Something like "Sister Act"?

I always wished that instead of "church" music that I would hear house music, with Christian lyrics as part of worship.
