How high is a blue jay's bird house supposed to be off the ground in a tree.?

how high do i need to go from the ground up in the tree?

Unfortunately Blue Jays do not use bird houses. They build an open cup type nest. Blue Birds do use bird houses, but they should be mounted on a pole at about 4 foot above the ground.

Not totally sure, but I'll suggest 8-10 ft.
