-He pats you gently on the back and asks how you are. -- I do this to all girls, regardless if I feel attraction for them.
-He makes eye contact with you,and doesnt try to break it. -- Some times it's just nice to stare into someone's eyes, doesn't sound like you tried to break it either though?
-He stands up and cheer for you when you do something good. - That's just odd, how old is he?
-He asks to sit with you on the bus for a second so he can talk to his friend. -- Yep, trying to be close to you.

when someone is truly sincere with you, you wont have to question. However, boys sometimes dont know how to express themselves. If you want to, go ahead and persue it. my suggestion would be to flirt back BUT be completely indifferent. indifference is the strongest emotion a person can have in a relationship- keeps them on their toes- like acting aloof ;) good luck!

If you like him back, flirt back. Also, in school it usually works to tell one of his friends or some people who know him that you might like him -- because you know he'll find out. Seems like this guy is pretty interested in you.

It depends on the person.
Today, my crush told me jokingly that he loved me.
Even though I don't think he likes me that way, it made me happy hearing it from him. He does touch me though when he talks to me but I think he's just being nice.
So in other words, it could mean something...it could mean nothing. (but in your case, I think it means something)
