i imagine they stopped seeing it because the "QUR'AN" that Islamic e book. and browse it as a results of the undeniable fact that is. i do not imagine human beings "switched over"... i imagine they purely appropriate to what's being reported in it. And it spoke to them. i do not imagine human beings convert for no reason. Or inevitably convert because they have been searching for something. i imagine for some human beings, they examine the Qur'an and they on the prompt can see and would relate to what's being reported. They experience a personal connection. there are a selection of non Muslims like Prince Charles, who examine the Qur'an, connect with it, delight in it, yet at the prompt are not Muslims. Karen Armstrong and Paulo Coelho too. i imagine for those those who pick to include Islam, after that connection with the e book, they purely purely experience compelled and that is sensible to take that experience a step extra. typically human beings take on the Islamic way of existence.. meaning doing good deeds, gazing speech, manners, the way you gown, purity of heart, 5 cases an afternoon prayer, charity, pilgrimage, the assertion of religion, quickly for something else of their existence because for them, it has reached the point the position it is the most sensible next step to do, and to no longer do it, they experience that they have got denied themselves of something significant.

Sorry my Muslim friend, I analytically studied Islam for YEARS since I was a KID. Trust me it had appeal, that much... that I studied Shia, Sunni, "liberal", "fundamentalist" views and teachings and still stopped short of Shahada every time.

When Islam can refute what the Buddha taught long before Christianity popped into existence, I'll give you another go. In the meantime, if it works for others I wish them the best and for you too... honestly. There's much I really do LIKE about Islam, but it's just that it's not met my questions sufficiently, nor likely ever will.

Tellya what, when Islam comes out with a good book on LOGICALLY refuting Buddhism, without just being sarcastic about it and legalistic, give me another heads up and I'll buy it. I've got a library of good books from Islamic bookstores and I've always got an open mind.

Hey Ivan Moronsky, when you said " I'll give you that there are less contradictions in the quran than the Bible, but both are pretty laughable." It was quite possibly the Stupidest statement I've heard all day.
Although it’s not the stupidest thing I’ve heard an Atheist say.

Too bad you don’t try reading what you bash… You may learn something… But then again, probably not.

"Hardcore" believers in anything convert all the time to another way of thinking: it doesn't mean that the new way of thinking is "right". There are Muslims and Christians who become Atheists and Agnostics who become Buddhists too... what's your point?

Re Peter D, above: the history of Christianity has largely been one of killing Jews. Are you upset that someone seems to occasionally take a swipe in your private preserve?

Lol you wish. Atheist find the Muslim religion the most deplorable religion of them all. Don't think just because we keep bumping heads with Christians we have any kind of special consideration for a religion that protects terrorist. The only reason we have more disagreements with Christians is they are the only real significant religion there is. Muslims have such a violent religion few civilized men can tolerate it.

I have read the Quoran. I am still atheist.
Read the Bible. Still atheist.
Read the Vedas. Still an atheist.
Studied Buddhism. Still an atheist. --Though not excluded here... they don't care if you believe in a god or not. If I had to pick a religion, I'd be a Buddhist without a doubt.

Because the guy was apparantly confused.

I'm also unsure of what constitutes a "hardcore atheist". Not believing is not believing. DId he disbelieve so hard that he started believing backwards? I don't get it.

I've read the Koran, and it certainly didn't convert me. I think it makes a bit more sense than the bible, generally, but that's probably because it's much newer and better translated.

I have never met an muslim who had converted from atheism. You know of one guy. That does not exactly constitute a trend. One person converting from atheism to being muslim does not mean that all atheists would do the same.
