I have naturally curly hair but want curls to become more defined and less frizzy. I have heard with layers, curls become more defined but am wondering if it's a rumor. Any and all opinions welcome.

not alot of layers but yeah i would put some on there. leave the lower half longer then the top. and dont cut it to short. the more layers the more poof and volume youll have.

Layers will not necessarily reduce frizziness.

Removing some length and weight with layers might help your curls spring up more. Strategically placed layers may also help give your hair a more stylish, easy to manage shape.

For ideas go to www.matrix.com. It has a section with hairstyles which are organized by length. Each hair cut has detailed photos and styling tips.

I'm pretty sure that if you got layers it would bring out your curls more. I have straight, layered hair and the layers makes it wavy. I'd just make sure to get the right layering style to create the right shape.
