Okay, dehydration is the issue. So, if you're vomitting, take a half-hour off, no food or drink. Then start with small sips of pedialyte or very weak gatorade, something with electrolytes. Two parts water to one part gatorade is close to normal body fluids. If you can keep that down, try the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (dry). They're easy on the tummy. You can go for a day easily without food (unless you're diabetic), but fluids are important, so drink up, and I hope you feel better soon.

If you have diarrhea, you are losing water and need to rehydrate by drinking plenty of water. If you don't feel like eating, don't. That's your body telling you it can't handle food. If you are hungry, you can handle small amounts of simple food.
In Argentina, I was told when I would get sick to eat oranges and drink liters of water. It worked, I don't know why, but I got over it.

Broth, bananas, jello, hard candies. I sometimes use flat soda. Stay away from bread, meat, anything hard to digest.
