"Think" about the possibility that he's been lied to,in the past. Once someone is burnt. It causes them to be hesitant to opening up to someone. If that is so. Having him say what he does. May be all you can expect. But except it with Class!

My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months and I haven't heard him say that he loves me although I can feel it with the things he does. Love is only the word we have given the feeling and all to often it's thrown around haphazardly.
He may not be able to say it (some people can't verbalize feelings) or he may feel what he thinks is love but may want to be sure before he says anything because it's nothing like he's ever felt before.
I don't know how long you've been together but if it's been less than a year, you shouldn't been too concerned.

Love has it's own time. Yours is just faster then his. If he is treating you with love and respect, what does the word really mean. It is just a word. How he treats you is the most important thing and when he feels ready and he does tell you it is love, it will mean a lot more to you knowing that he does not take those words lightly. To me it sounds like he is worth waiting to hear it when he is ready, not when you want to hear it.

People really throw the phrase "I love you" around way too much. I suppose he could say it, but perhaps he believes that he simply hasn't reached the point of absolute love yet.
If you say "I love you" too much, it means nothing, and if you say it too early, it can ruin everything. It's a very difficult choice of when to say it.

Maybe he's a bit freaked out. Love is a big word and you know what boys are like with emotions. Don't worry too much about it.

You need to see others so that he can make up his mind. Right now he has you on a string. Perhaps if you tug a little he'll either decide you're the one or move on.

Wait till he's ready. Women have alot more feelings than men do. We have love in our vocabulary. They don't. You'll freak him out if you say anything to do with love

I'm having the same problem with my boyfriend! All you can do is give him time, yes it is hard and yes it hurts, but just believe in him and hopefully someday soon he'll say it.

be patient... he'll say it if he really does but there is nothing worse than a forced "I love you" that isn't geniune let him say it in his own time and try not to focus on the fact that he hasn't said it, try to focus on ways he maybe showing you he loves without actually saying the words
good luck
