I think discussing religious stories or arguing historical facts will continue (just as they have with Greek of Norse folklore.) But I'm optimistic that, in time, people will stop worshiping the current myths. Hopefully they are not replaced with something new, maybe some scientific discovery will put an end to it for all.

Yes, I stopped it this morning. A person wrote WRONG on a scripture I had written for a group I started in my apartment building. She said come with me and took me to her apartment and got out her bible to show me why the scripture I wrote was wrong.
I said NO I can't go there with you. I refuse to argue about scripture. The Holy Spirit reveals scripture to me and I have 'the mind of Christ.' I want to be at peace with you and I will not argue about it. The most important things are to believe in the Bible and in Jesus and to love one another and not be in contention over the scripture. That's our point of agreement. What you think something means and what I think something means is like to 3 year olds arguing over what their Daddy said. The only one that can straighten that one out is Daddy. I'm not God and neither was my neighbor so the most respectful thing we can do is 'not go there' and know that when His children get to heaven we will understand it all.
Peace and Love

Negative on that orbit trajectory... nope, nyet, nein, nik nik, not so long as people think that their own way of thinking is the only superior one, and that everyone else must "subscribe".

Heck it took ME forever and a day to dump my arrogance, even when I became a Buddhist. It takes time and patience and developing altruism to look outside of the "self" and realize that not everyone is capable of, or maybe just don't want to, view things the same way as you or I do.

Compassion is realizing this and then kicking back for a good hearty debate among friends.

ok, first, it is the religion board, so i'd imagine maximum human beings on right here appreciate discussing/arguing faith. Secondly, you requested, "does it count number if God exist or no longer." Weeell, if he doesn't exist, then yea, it doesn't actual count number if we discuss it. yet on the different hand, if He does exist, then i'd ought to disagree and say, "definite, it actually does count number!" 0.33, you reported we do not want a saviour, and yet, you bypass onto say we've morals and values set in our hearts. So, what takes position when we are in deep violation of those moral precepts that you're saying we've? What takes position when we are criminals in accordance to that regulation in our hearts? What if violating those guidelines is an exceedingly real element? What breaking the regulation -- "sin" -- is the source of lack of life interior the international? How ought to you keep in mind that we do not want a saviour?? definite, all of us understand what's envisioned human beings, yet each body human beings falls short. I purely experience you may't charm for your position through organic and thorough reasoning. you're saying, What concerns is how we manage one yet another and the aims and desires we set in the front of ourselves, yet you're depending on the concept God does no longer exist! because, if He does exist then he's the source of objective, and for this reason, His will determines how we ought to continually manage one yet another, and what our aims and desires must be. In effect, you're saying, "pay interest, i do not position self belief in God, so God doesn't count number. for this reason, we ought to continually all end wondering about God and purely chill." yet God has reported something rather distinct.

No difference than arguing politics or any other subject.
People will always argue; it's one of the wonderful human qualities.
If we all had the same opinions of everything, people will be very boring...don't you think?

It will stop at the either (1) the death of the next-to-last homo sapiens (the last one won't have anyone to argue with), or (2) the God of the Bible draws human history to a close and the arguments end from the obvious fact. The unbelievers will opt for the first, believers for the second or some form thereof.

No, religious arguments have been going on for 1000's of years. Why stop now?? Thanks the Goddess there are enough religions to argue about...too bad fanatics have to take it a step further and kill others for it.

Nope, because every religion thinks they are the right one and they'll keep telling everyone that doesn't believe the same as they do that they are going to hell or wherever their religion decrees.

I suspect it's part of human nature. Even when the Lord returns, some people will find a way to argue about it.
