Much like it's root of the ancient Egyptian religions that also have a man god who redeems people and mediates between man and God. It's like twilight zone, religion is absolutely amazing. Christianity is huge and it's people are ignorant of the history, it's not likely that it will fade because it has become THE religion of our times. But I could see a distant future, if there is one, with a people who have a new Messiah...always looking to be saved...kind of a sad love story between humans and a higher power. I guess it's the faith that counts, if it helps you to be a better person and contribute goodness to the world. But most of the time religion is taken too far...

I could understand why the Jews won’t accept Jesus. Putting someone before God is desecrating God’s Law: Exodus 20:3 “Thou shall have no other gods before/besides me.” Jesus says that you can only know the Father through him, which puts Jesus before God. Christians will argue this by saying that Jesus mentioned he and the Father are one, therefore making Jesus God Himself in human flesh.

You’ll notice that the anti-Christ in the book of Revelation sounds much like what the Jews are expecting of their Messiah. To the Jews the Messiah will be the anointed one who will bring light and peace to the world and everyone will see the true path as described in Isaiah 11. The anti-Christ of the Christians in the book of Revelation will “deceive” the whole world with peace and wisdom and everyone will follow him except those who are written in the book of the Lamb…so we have a dispute here. One says that their Messiah will be the only Messiah who will bring peace and wisdom to the world, and the other says that their Messiah has already come and will come again to defeat the anti-Messiah . To me it sounds like ISRAEL VS. EGYPT all over again (maybe a battle of the gods again, revenge of the Egyptian gods or something lol), since Jews are still Jews and Christians have a religion that sort of evolved from ancient Egyptian religion. This is just my opinion don’t get all rattled and cry blasphemy lol… so yeah, just wanted to ask if this is even close to being correct…I’m not a scholar or anything but I do love religion and yes I believe in God but I’m not sure how since I was raised as a Christian but am now a non-Christian who is stuck in the center around Jesus, I can’t just completely let him go after all the things I was taught in my little Sabbath school…and to all of you who are going to quote the bible about the “virgin” birth, that actually means “young woman” in Hebrew…if you read the bible in it’s true language…but whatever.

I’m favoring the Jewish belief over the Christian one, but it’s all so confusing since Christianity claims they are a sect from Judaism but their profile screams ancient Egyptian religions…religion is confusing yet beautiful and interesting, they all have one thing in common - a high power.

So, I make my case, who is the real God? Peace everyone.

I will answer your first question: Will Christianity become a religion of the past? Yes, it is already there and you know it. There will be a 'newer testament' but it won't be Christian in those terms. You stated that all religion has one thing in common-a high power. I say it's because all religion comes from one source-a high power. To me, this is the reason for the commonalities. There was never supposed to be rivalry between religions and the discrepancies were never supposed to override the messages of the religious heroes. The differences arose because the 'knowledge' was given in the language of the people of different times and locations. The teachings are not so much in the history, but in the words and images used to describe the truth, the symbols and the meanings they contain.

You are quite close to being correct honey! Most of what you said is true, but me fix you up a little:

Exodus 20:3 is part of the Christian belief as well. A true christian belives EVERYTHING in the Bible, and the Bible contains both Exodus and the stories of Jesus (including the book of John, where Jesus says in Chapter 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. Nobody comes to the father but through me."). So, we born again Christians believe what Exodus says just like the Jews do.

Born again Christians also believe that Jesus WAS the Messiah. Isaiah predicted that he would come to the Earth to die for our sins the first time, and that his SECOND coming would be when he sets up his kingdom of peace. Judahism followers believe that the FIRST time the Messiah comes to Earth would be when he sets up his kingdom of peace, therefore, they didn't accept Jesus as God and as the Messiah.

I can tell that God is tugging at your heart to become a born again Christian. If you can't "completely let" Jesus go, than that tells me that you are considering what Christianity has to say about the world that we live in. Make your choice wisely!

The real God to me is like water-three different states, one element. Water can become a gas, liquid, or solid. In the same way, the God that I believe in-and that born again Christians believe in-has three different states (father, son, and holy spirit).Jesus, of course, is the son.

Well, here's what I see. Christianity is not so much the religion of our time, but rather the focus of the Age of Pisces - a 2000 year period that ended in the second half (last qtr) of the last Millenium. You can see since that time a steady voice again Christianity that gets louder and more vocal by the minute. I think we are witnessing the beginning of the end of Christainity as we know it - but Christainity is a juggernaut that has danced through it's age by balancing and bending where it had to.

To my eyes we are now moving into the Age of Aquarius - and whether you are a believer in astrology or not you can see Aquarian things reigning already in this new age: the internet, cell phones - energized ideas and communication. This is the energy that will sustain humanity if they are wise enough to balance and bend as Christianity has done.

Energized ideas and communication - think about that. More and more we hear people using phrases like "Thoughts become things", "The power of intention" and "Whatever we dwell upon in our heart and mind is what we get in our lives". Energized ideas - and what kind of energy? Positive or negative? Tolerance or divisivness? That is where we are today. The battle of good and evil could be interpretted as exactly that - a measure of how many people in the world dwell upon good more than bad and behave accordingly. It doesn't have to be a Divine Being coming down from the sky - it has more to do with that which each and every one of us manifest in our day to day life - and our expectations for the future that will shape our world tomorrow and will choose a direction when we reach that crossroads.

I think all the world's religions point in the same direction. Most put forth the idea of love and respect (often coming down to the Golden Rule), a creative energy that animates this existence and a way to influence it (prayer, intention), and the idea of a wonderful afterlife. Isn't it possible that they are all telling the same story, speaking of the same divinity and afterlife, but in terms that are most meaningful to the reader?

As far as who is the real God, it has recently been suggested to me that we collectively make up God - and I think that is a facsinating notion. I mean, if we are all children of God - that phrase could be interpretted to that meaning, don't you think? It's funny, but with my mental vision of God, just about any of these scenarios could be right.

Peace!

Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and many other theistic stances are already religions of the past, dead and bloated with nothing to offer the modern world but hindrance. Just because a lot of people happen to be gathered around these corpses does not mean they are really still alive.

That's a very sad thought. The only way that Christianity will become a religion of the past is if there are no more believers in Christ, or in His atonement for mankind's sins, or the resurrection from the dead. Without these beliefs man lives only for himself, for the present, for only momentary carnal desires. If these beliefs comprised in Christianity are done away, then mankind will have done away with the Ten commandments, as well as a host of teachings of Christ--such as doing unto others, losing yourself in the service of others, kindness, loving one another as Christ loved us, and so on. If they do away with the teachings of Christianity, this will be because man has fallen into a carnal condition. If there is no Christ, we cannot enter back into God's presence, for no unclean thing can dwell with Him, and if there is no longer belief in Christ's teachings, then we no longer have faith enough to be cleansed from sin. God gave us commandments to help us overcome sin so we could be happy. Christ came to show the way. Wickedness is not happiness. We cannot find true happiness apart from God and righteous living. If the believers in Christ become few, that will be nothing new. Being labeled "weird" by the majority is actually a good thing, for Christ said that if we follow Him we will be hated by the world, as He was. He said strait was the gate that leads to eternal life, and FEW there be that find it. He is the gate. He also said that broad is the way to destruction. Meaning that the majority will go on the broad path, probably because it is easier to do so. Christ's teachings are opposite to the teachings of a selfish world ruled by satan. It has always been so ever since man has been on the earth, that only a few remain faithful to God and Christ. . God always has to call out a very small remnant even from among His people. This has been so,down through the ages and will beso again. Isaiah says that in the last days there will only be a tenth of a tenth of His people whom He will save. That is a tithe of a tithe, as explained in Deuteronomy, a holy offering. Not everyone who cries, Lord, Lord, will be admitted to the "wedding feast." There has always been opposition to truth and to followers of Christ. We are here on earth to be tested as to whether we will choose to follow satan's plan of wickedness, or Christ's plan of righteousness. It's that simple. Satan likes to elevate self. Followers of Christ subdue self in service to others. We live in a day of elevating of self, instead of subduing of selfish desires, attitudes, wants, goals.

The gates of hell will NEVER_NEVER be victorious over the True CHURCH of GOD!!!! The flawed humans who think they have taken over control will in a generation... pass on...just as it has gone thru for 2 thousand years...Those of you who wish for it to be so...only desire it to be true so you won't have to respond to that light that's inside of your corrupted heart...Well you can supress the truth all you want but that doesn't mean you won't have give an account for your existence one DAY...One more thing Christianity is NOT A RELIGION...AN imitator of JESUS CHRIST is who we really are...for we truly worships a LIVING GOD...but you have to be reborn of water amd SPIRIT to have this kind of relationship with HIM...You whosoever you are cannot engage in your natural flesh which only craves the things of the flesh and hates the things of the Spirit...i can only hope one day you will one day stop supressing that awesome light of truth that's in you and receive the good news of JESUS CHRIST who paid with HIS life for all the sins you've committed in Mind spirit and body...and give yourself a chance at attaining a more abundant life even while you are still alive in this world...SO NO! The Church will never die...

I think you are ignorant of history by getting this pagan god-man from an anti-christian site. We have no proof of pagan religions before christianity started of exhibiting similar traits to Jesus Christ. If you study the egyptian and other religions, their "saviors" aren't anything like Jesus Christ.

Genises, God said let US make man in OUR image...etc.etc.
Hence god is a TRINITY>

John 5:43
: "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
Jesus is reffering to the future Jewish messiah, the ANTICHRIST>

If we are lucky all religion will go the way of the dodo bird, become extinct. It served it's purpose to control the minds of the poor and weak in order to stop them from rising up and bringing down the ruling classes. But now that we have learnt how to think for ourselves (or at least most of us) then we need to get rid of all religion in order to continue human mental evolution past the current state of childhood.
