Heh-heh. "You have reached the offices of God outside regular business hours. If you know your party's extension, dial it at any time, or dial 1 for the menu. Thank you for calling and have a blessed existence."

Edit: What do you suppose God's hold music is?

All prayers are important to God if it prayed with a pure heart and in truth that is according to His will for you.. God knows the difference. God hears only the prayers of the righteous.

For example... You can't pray for God to help you win the lottery.. Why? Because....

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

You can't ask God to help you rob a bank. Why? Because...

Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal

You can't ask God to give you another man's wife. Why? Because..

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery

Why will you not get the yes answer you are looking for when you don't ask God for things like these that is so many people already do in life every day? Because,,,

Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

God only answers prayers according to His will for us, and according to His timing.

Everything you do in life, you must do for the glory of God if you want God to hear your prayers and answer them. Why? Because God said so.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

You cannot serve two masters...

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Of course not ! Everyone knows that God uses a ticket dispensing machine, just like the one at the grocery store, deli.
If you can't present the ticket; along with your prayer, he says "go to hell."

I doubt it...Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker's "trilogy") made it very clear that God's last message to creation was "We apologize for the inconvenience." So, no message, just hold music.

If I were God, my hold music would be "South of Heaven" by Slayer or maybe "The Bad Touch" by Bloodhound Gang.

Then he leaves you on hold with horrible music playing for hours, only for you to hang up after being utterly irritated.

Thank you for not calling me a fake witch or telling me that i'm going to burn in hell, or that i'm starved for negative attention. You and Chippy are my favorite people on y&a religion style.
