My dog always sneaks bites of the food my toddler throws on the floor and I have noticed that she loves strawberries but hates bananas......as far as safety i think you might want to check your vet....you can call and ask them......but I feel that if it is healthy for us it must be ok for them......but still inquire a vets professional opinion.

I used to be fine about it, Tublet. However I tried to sneak a chomp out of a magnificent "world's largest" framed nectarine at a horticultural fair one time. Well, it let out the most blood curdling shriek I have ever heard. I now know for certain that the earth's plant life feels pain just as we do. I have never eaten an uncooked butt-like fruit since that day - nor shall I ever again.

Absolutely -- as long as the particular dog doesn't have an allergy to it. At our shelter, we give the dogs fresh fruit (along with their normal meals) every other day. They particularly like apples and unsweetened applesauce.

yes fresh fruit is good for the dog. do not give the seeds of any fruit as some seeds contain toxins. even though not all seeds do, it is best to prevent the seeds then you do not have to question if the seeds were poison to the dog.

My dog's vet has said to avoid raisins and grapes (toxic in large amounts) and citrus (very acidic). Other than that there's nothing wrong with giving your dog fruit. Mine loves bananas, apples, and watermelon. He's not keen on strawberries or blueberries.

yes, in moderation and only certain fruits. Avoid grapes, raisens, and tomatoes. Check the net for a complete list. I give my pups a few pieces of apple a couple of times a week, and bananna. Just remember, moderation.

Yes in small amounts as long as they are not grapes. They contain a compound that causes kidney problems.

yes, although they cannot absorb much nutrients from the fruit because they are carnivores (meat-meating), but they are not harmful to them either, fruits just act as a fibre which helps them digesting
