that I'm sitting down for a meal, having a cuppa, watching my favourite TV programme or (trying) to get jiggy with my husband!!
I make sure they have all my attention while they are awake and they're happy, but as soon as I try to do my own 'stuff' they come downstairs wanting something! Or the baby cries even if I just THINK of getting nookie!!
Is it a universal child phenomenon or is it just my little monsters?

my son is the same way....it's hilarious, it's like clock work. As soon as me and the wife try to have a little quality time...... he comes waltzing in wanting something rediculous. So to pay him back, I am keeping a detailed ledger of all th $$$ we spend on him so when he turns 18 I can give him a bill.

I do think they are aware at some level! lol Maybe the answer would be to get jiggy more often, so they can accept that as part of everyday life! And your husband wont mind! Tell the kids when they wake up and the door is closed, it is only for dire emergencies that they can disturb you, because you are spending quality time with dad.

Universal phenomenon. Even when you time it so its in between times they wake up during the night, they still wake up as soon as your ready for action. Terribly terribly annoying.
