Prescription and medical costs are deductible with a limitation, see top section of Schedule A. Contributions to a church are deductible. The purchase price of the vehicle is not a deduction, but it is a depreciable asset, and the depreciation is deductible, as are all operating expenses, maintenance, and insurance.
