I want to use an Inverter duty motor for an application. And I want to use Automation Direct `s GS2 AC 3.0HP drive, but since there are a lot of choices I do not know if this manufacturer is good or not. Can you recommend? and provide a list of best manufacturers, from 1 to 10, if possible. Thanks a lot.

It really depends on what the motor is doing. I only use inverter duty motors if I am going to allow the motor to run at less than 80% of its designed frequency (rpm).

If it is running a conveyor and is a small unit any mass producer of the inverters should work fine. I prefer Baldor because they are head quartered in my home town and I can get factory service.

For larger drives or drives running exhaust fans, pumps or compressors I'd use Danfoss. Because their drives have built in process controllers.
