My 11 month old is scared too death of target bags. If he sees one, he flips out. Could it be the red dot?

I don't shop at target that much, and he likes to play with bags. I just don't know why a target bag scares him. He's a very happy, playful, loving kid and it bothers me to know that he's scared of this particular bag.

When I say bags, I don't mean plastic bags...He like pocketbooks, paper bags. I wouldn't let him play with a plasticbag knowing it's dangerous for him.

Young kids are apt to be afraid of anything. I remember when I was very young (under age 4) and yes, I still remember this, I was afraid of flat tires! I saw my father's car in the yard with a flat tire that I had never seen before and I got down on my hands and knees so the flat tire couldn't see me crawl by the window. Children can become afraid of just about anything if they have never seen it before.

Is it ONLY Target bags - b/c that's a little weird. My cats are afraid of plastic bags - I think the noise scares them. Not that your baby is a cat though. Anyway, generally people are scared of things for one of two reasons: 1) something traumatic happened in the past with said item (in your case, Target bag) 2) People are afraid of the unknown. (in your case, the baby has no idea what this big scary plastic thing that makes lots of noise is, and thus is afraid of it)

Why would you let a baby play with a plastic bag?

That is funny! First you should get it on video--maybe you'll win 10,000 on AFV! Then you should stop letting your son play with bags anyway--they are VERY dangerous.

After an afternoon of shopping my 3 year old daughter looked at me and said "Mama I don't want to go shopping tomarrow, not even to the gorcery store, I'm done shopping this week"

It could be of the red dot or the sound it makes when you move it.

That's hilarious, you never can tell with kids. My son is fake allergic to fake flowers, everytime we walk by a fake flower or plant he fake sneezes!

Could it be that you shot at him while he was standing in front of it?
