Every time I try to open a .vtf file that is over 1 mb in Photoshop, I get an error that says not enough memory (RAM).
I have 1 GB of RAM, I run Windows XP Professional, and I have 4 GBs of virtual memory on both of my hard drives. I have Adobe Photoshop 7.

A vtf file is a material file used on models in the source gaming engine. And I have a photoshop addon that allows it to run.
I have open 90 MB psd files perfectly with no problems.

you need a plugin to open vtf

try to see how many programs you have, even if you have enough memory to support the program having other programs open may cause the conflict. make sure the file is compatible to be opened in photoshop, and check the size, is it a reasonable file size?

not sure what a vtf file is. but try restarting comp...that somtimes helps (but i have a mac)
