First try this. Go to "Control Panal" and then "Add Remove" and see if the application is in the list. If not, then go directly into the applications folder and dump the app in the recycle bin. Go "Start Menu" - "My computer" - "Local Disk C" - "Applications Folder" then find the unwanted application and dump it manually. Also, the application may not be in the applications folder, so you may need to do hard drive search and find it, and then dump it.

Depends on what hardware you're working with. If it's on a PC go to my computer and search through your software and see if you can that way if not go to the control panel and there is a install/uninstall feature for software. If it's a Mac, go into your hard drive and just drag your application into the trash. You will want to search for anything that supports the app so you can dispose of it as well. Hope this helps.

They should be in the Add/Remove Programmes, but if not there are other ways;
Delete the Directories that apply to the Application.
You will probably get a series of errors after a reboot.
You need to remove the programme references from the Registry. This can be done manually, or with regclean.
Reference to Cleaning the registry:

And, there may be some DLL oprhans that you need to remove.

Here's an alternative remedy. If the program has only been installed recently use the system restore function. That should get rid of it. You'll find it via start-all programs-accessories-system tools. Select a date from the calendar that was before you installed it. And choose restore.
