A lot of exercise, especially because she/he is young and active.
Play with the chihuahua a lot.
Good luck!

Trust me, they will make their own exercise. They need a lot of interaction, however. Most of them have an independent streak and will let you know how much they want to play and how much they just want to cuddle and sleep. They can run like the wind for a couple of minutes then sleep like a log for a couple of hours. Good luck and congrats on having a chihuahua as they can be the best companions and you just can't help from spoiling them.

At 13 months old, a pup loves to play when it's awake, but it does not yet need long walks or long play sessions. Too much exercise too soon can cause developmental problems.

Mine get all the exercise they need, playing and running around our house. They also have a doggy door and go outside when it is not so cold and rainy and they play out there a lot chasing each other and having fun.

My chi is full of energy. We get these mini tennis balls from Petsmart, they are about the size of a golf ball, she loves to play fetch with them, and it's great exercise. Mine also loves short walks, but be sure you use a harness rather than a collar and leash, it is better for their little bodies. Be sure after play time you allow for water and rest time. They are small and can tire quickly.

Your Chi will need as much exercise as he wants. Some wil be more active then others. Are you worried about Crate training if so it takes awhile to crate train a chi, but its worth it!

As much as they can get - they will always be active dogs and the younger they are the more they need.
GOOD LUCK!!
