I agree with the other fellow - you don't actually expect him to hold it for 11 Hours? Could you?
You have too much on your plate. This could just be a reaction to the new baby. If so, make sure you lavish him with love and affection every chance you get.
If you are determined to keep him - at least confine him to the bathroom so he doesn't ruin your house. But, I'll be criticized for this - this is NOT fair to the dog. Is there a trustworthy neighbor or relative who could come in and play with him and walk him AT LEAST once while you're gone?
Please consider finding him a new home where HE will be the center of attention. This isn't about you - it's about him.

You should have thought about that 7 years ago.

If your life is that busy and your days that long, what makes you think you'll have the ability to consistently train a mature, set-in-its-ways dog?

Good luck- I'd get professional help from a dog trainer.

He is 7 years old and still not housebroken? or has he just started using the bathroom inside out of the blue? i hope you aren't expecting him to hold it while you are gone for 11 hours.

keep the dog somewhere where you can put up gates and put down little pads you can lay down on the ground and then when he pees it will get on there and not the floor and then you can also wash them. thats what my mom does with her two yorkies b/c they pee and poop everywhere...and they are already trained to pee on them...they are like little pads that are clothing material and soaks it up...check at bed bath and beyond or either the pet stores to find them..also if it is possible to have maybe someone come over to your house and let them out regularly..someone you know and trust..
