From their ability, their beliefs, dick size, how they feel, everything, just to impress their girlfriend? My boyfriend and I have been going out for quite some time now and I love him to death, but I've caught him on a few of his own lies, and the sad part is that he goes off making excuses. Him lying about these simple things about himself to me makes me think he has way too high of expectations for himself, and that he may expect that much from me too. I feel like he has no need to lie, he knows that I'll still love him no matter what.
So tell me guys, what's with the lies?

There is basically no difference btw guys and girls. There are girls having difficulties to kick off such complex inferiority too.

He thinks by lying that he is impressing even though he doesn't have to.
Trouble is one lie leads to another and things just end up getting worst. A guy that lies to impress me is no friend or boyfriend of mine. Cause he will continue to do so through out his life. Someday his lies will catch up to him and cause him great pain.
So my opinion would be to say adios amigo and find someone who knows how to be truthful and honest with his feelings towards you.

Sorry but I think women (or girls) are worse or AT LEAST as bad. Anytime someone is a compulsive liar, they have very low self esteem. This can lead to some......bad things such as cheating, which these days is as bad as attempted murder. Play a game of truth or CONSEQUENCES with him. Be prepared to follow through. Good luck and don't stoop to his level.

He's probably unsure of what YOUR expectations are. This just means he likes you and wants you to keep liking him. He's probably just making excuses because he thinks you will get mad at him for lying and dump him if he admits to lying. Show him that belief, emotions ( unless they are of you), or even their dick size doesn't matter just as long as there is still a bond between you two. Hope this helps!

He just wants to be the guy you want, and he thinks the guy you want is perfect so he makes up things that make him sound better, most people drop things like that in when they're dating, like padding out a CV, putting in little white lies that make people sounds better. Its a human trait.

i wish someone could explain this one to all of us. they lie about the dumbest things and when they get caught it just makes you mad because they lied in the first place when there was no reason to. guys are complicated!
