~~~charlie ,,,, "Christians" come in many 'colors'. "True" is merely a Subjective Opinion with it's own 'shading' given by the accuser. The word 'norm' infers to what is 'Average', within a given group. George W. is indeed special. He will go down in history as a Model for "What NOT to Become". Being a Hypocritical Christian is merely ONE of his MANY shortcomings. As an knowledgeable atheist, GW gives me plenty of ammunition in the fight toward eliminating Religious Ignorance in the World.
I am unaware that George W. Bush has a son, let alone one named after him who is violent, oil-greedy, deceitful and still claims to be a Christian. Do you have a pic of GWB Jr?
Who knows only God. And you have some charity saying that violence, being oil greedy and deceitful is the norm for Christians. I love how you people put all folks in the same old can of worms because you don't happen to share their beliefs. Now that is what I call tolerance, and you people call us hypocrites.
He is a true Christian but a very misguided one who seems to have forgotten much of the teachings of his faith. To err is Human to forgive Divine. He is also a product of his upbringing (frankly I don't think Barbara did such a hot job raising her sons) & his class.
Based upon the people I know who try to live a good life, he is not the norm. But he has a high profile & I believe as such he will be held by God to a higher standard.
Violent, oil-greedy, deceitful... or is this the thief on the cross? Christians are people. Sinners, just like the rest of the population, only difference is they are saved by Grace according the God's word. It would be great if every believer did his/her very best every minute to glorify God, but truth is it doesn't happen and God knows we're all dust.
Only George and God know the answer to this one.
I'm sure he probably thinks he is....but for someone who is a member of the Skulls and a Freemason, I'd have my doubts. A true Christian who was not involved in either of these organizations would never become president, even if he were elected by popular vote, because of the CFR. He would be immediately assassinated.
I think he is. I have heard more than a dozen times he was attending Church services. Whether he is deceitful or normal? Hymmm...?? Bet you will get lots of feed back on this one. I like to believe all our elects are standing up for there opinion and ours as we have voted. So I like to think there choices are meant for our better life. Am I a dreamer? Maybe so. Though not hip on all of what is happening. I certainly feel we rarely ever get the entire issue/picture brought to our attention.....
As answered earlier, it's not our job to judge. A true Christian has a personal relationship with God. It is between him/her and God. it would be presumptuous for us to make that determination. I can discern whether I want to support (with my vote and voice) Mr. Bush's
actions, performance and policies, but only God knows about his heart. I've attached an interesting translation from Matthew 7:21-23.
Additionally, the Bible is filled with stories of the redemption of people who sinned. King David being the most profound.
