I am one of the faithful! and Yes I believe there is power in the name of Jesus.
Because as Christian we are educationed thru the gospel of fact that upon the name of Jesus the devil has to flee.

No kidding, there is power in the Name of Jesus! That is exactly why we shouldn't take it lightly or abuse it. It is the Name above all other Names on earth and in the Kingdom of heaven. Every knee shall bow at the Name of Jesus... even the demons hear and tremble at the Name of Jesus.

While calling on the name of Jesus is the usual means of showing it, the source of the power is not on the name itself...
"And God did works of power through the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them. And certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, 'We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.' And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. But answering the evil spirit said, 'Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you?' And the man in whom the evil spirit resided leaped on them, and overcoming them he was strong against them, so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded. Oh YES. A friend of mine is a tester for DMV drivers. She was with a man one day that didn't speak much english...they were driving on a road where a train was about to cross the road and he wasn't stopping. My friend said, "In the name of Jesus STOP". The train stopped. Yes, this really happened. After the train stopped, he stopped, needless to say, he failed his test and didn't get a driver's license.

Yes there is.
Pleading the blood of Christ will send away any spirit that's bugging the heck outta you. The only trick is, you have to believe it. According to a friend of mine, it will also repel a lower level demon as well.
The Lords Prayer also works.
So, YEP, the name of Jesus can see you through some rough spots, especially if you live in spook central. (grew up in a house that was a tad haunted)
