No, I am not afraid of my own death, though I am not fond of the death of loved ones. Death is an illusion as our physical body is just a vessel, a tool to use to learn more than we can in our pure energy form. When the physical body dies, we merely return to the pure energy form.

I'm only scared of death because there's still so much I want to do here, and I'm not sure if I'll get another chance to do it. As for dying, I'm not scared of dying, I mean a little of the pain associated with dying, but not of being dead. I'm confident I will either go to a equal or better place than here, or become nothing, either way is good with me.

most people are instinctually afraid of death. if someone you don't know points a gun at your head you will not likely carry on with whatever you were doing. even if the gun is fake, you assume it's a loaded death machine because your instinct tells you it is better to assume it will kill you and try to figure out a way out of the situation than to figure out if it IS real or not. Also, we mourn the loss of those who have died. if religious fanatics TRULY believed that their loved ones had gone to "a better place" then they would never cry for them. after all, it won't be long before they join their friends and loved ones, right? we're constantly reminded of how short life is compared to eternity. but our instincts once again tell us that there is no heaven and the loved one is lost forever and we are saddened by this because we were bonded to them. humans require bonding to one another, like the baby to his mother at infancy.
Survival is our most basic instinct, and next comes procreation.

Some people genuinely arent,i'm not
Death isnt the end,and when you die you get to meet up with your family who went before you.
Having said that theres work to do here, kids need to be pointed the right way.

I'm not afraid of death. I do however, wish that when that happens I won't have to exist anymore. So I guess I am getting ready for disappointment, "just in case".

I am not afraid of death: it is a natural occurance, and I won't realize anything after it happens, so there is not much to fear. I'd rather it not be painful, though.

I'm not at all scared of death. I trust 100% in my God and as long as I'm walking in the path He has laid out for me, I'll be fine. If I die, I get to be in His direct presence, and that is all that matters. There is no fear in death for those who know Jesus Christ.

God puts it in us so we don't go walking off cliffs.Everyone's nervous to go through a door they have never been through but the Christian has the assurance of love on the other side of that door.
