Any child psychologist will agree that it's wrong for parents to teach their children that they're NOTHING without God

I copied the comment below from a Christian

"our lives are based on praising God. We have no right to praise ourselves, because we as human beings cannot do anything apart from God"

I would never do such a thing.

I would disagree with any psychologist that holds that position. Our value as people is determined by the premium that God has placed on us, the life and death of His only Begotten Son in order to redeem us back to Himself. Apart from God, life has no real value. "What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world but lose his own soul?" The answer...absolutely nothing! My dear and precious children mean so much to me, but infinitely more to Him. I raise them knowing the high value that He has placed upon them.

Oh please!

This is NOT child abuse. First off, the bible is amazing for teaching good morals, values and above all to respect and love other people. JOY - Jesus, Others, Yourself. If you live your life this way, it actually ends up happier because you are fulfilled in your life by serving others instead of yourself.

It is not child abuse to teach your children to believe that there are things more important in life than themselves. I think parents that spend all their time spoiling their kids should get in trouble for ruining their children before people who teach humility and thankfulness.

Only if we're wrong... and we could say the same about your methods. That's why it is the parents' right to raise their kids as they see fit. And 'any child psychologist' is an over-generalization. There are plenty of them that wouldn't say that (especially Christian ones).

there is passable evidence to help this actual. initially toddlers are no longer mentally progressed (this in all hazard explains why faith is concentrated in direction of them) so pitching some thing because of the fact the definitive reality and exerting peer rigidity to regulate to a new child - of direction it particularly is a type of abuse. Why do no longer they start up coaching human beings faith from sixteen onwards? because of the fact by ability of then a human has greater psychological progression. it is the reason faith is failing now, because of the fact it is now being left to adults to elect their very own religious paths with out parental or societal rigidity.

How do you figure that is child abuse??

It is true, ( - CHRIST = I Am Nothing). Christ created me, you and everyone else in this world; I don't see where the child abuse comes into this. We teach our children that they must learn to depend on God for their very lives; it's not to teach them that they are "nothing".

Those who truly abuse their children degrade them shamelessly, violate them, sexually abuse them, and ask them to participate in things that neither children nor adults should be participating in. Those are the people that should be in jail for abuse, not Christians.

THats not child abuse. You must be a cupcake if you call THAT child abuse.

Child abuse is sending your kid to a city public school. You know, that place that is run by a socialist beaurocracy that all the secular atheists send their kids to grow up to become graduates that are too dumb to make it in college, that is, if they are the minority of those that DONT DROP OUT!

Hmm, I know you don't understand that, but it's true. We can do lots of things, that's obvious. But being a Christian we want good things to come out of what we do, and only God can cause the things we do to prosper and help people spiritually!

Wow, That's interesting call it whatever you want but I do raise my child to know Jesus because I know myself I am nothing without Him and I would be doing her a great disservice if I did not tell her all the joy that God can bring into her life,

Kids should learn to look inside their heart for the answers to right and wrong, not a book. And I don't get why you're just attacking the Christians with this child abuse thing. I would think that Muslims and Jews and Mormons are way more overpowering to their children's religious upbrinings.
