Hello! My husband came down with the Norovirus near the end of December, for some odd reason I escaped. My question is... He was handeling pork the night he became ill, we ate some for dinner and then he froze some. I just thought about it now, is it safe to thaw, cook and eat or should I not trust it and throw it away. I will probably toss it, but I just hate wasting food. I am 5 weeks pregnant and I don't want to take any chances.
Please help!

Cooking food will kill the virus. Don't toss the pork, there are kids starving in Asia. Just cook till the center is above 140ºF.

With that said, if he got sick the same night he handled the pork, then I'd bet dollars to donuts, it ain't the pork. Noro has an incubation of about 12-48 hours. Usually people get it from person to person contact. Is anyone in his workplace sick?

Make sure to sanitize your bathrooms with a bleach solution to kill the virus (it can linger on surfaces).
