ive tried various photo softwares but each has something good on it,does any1 no which is the best 1 on the market for doing loads of different things,ie morphing,skin changing,background changing,etc etc

The best software out there is Adobe Photoshop. The newest version is CS2 and is availiable for both Mac and PC. (If you are currently running an intel Mac, I would wait for the CS3 as the current version has some running issues). This program does take some getting used to and I would suggest doing the tutorials and spending lots of time practicing. For all the tasks that you listed, it is PERFECT for and much more. The only problem is the cost, it is about $589, with older versions availiable cheaper. However, you can download a free 30 day trial from http://www.adobe.com/
There are also watered down versions of this software availiable for cheaper, such as Photoshop Elements.

I've found Photoshop to be the best application for manipulting images. Their tools make it easy to do a lot if you know what you are doing. I bought Photoshop for Dummies, and the program and have been having fun ever since! Happy Morphing! and Good luck!

Most of the other folks say "Photoshop", but I'd like to recommend a totally free editor called "Paint.NET". It's an open-source program that rivals Photoshop, and best of all, costs nothing. It's available at the below link.

Photoshop is probably the best but a bit pricey; the GIMP, on the other hand, comes in a close second and it is FREE. Download a copy.

I really like Adobe photoshop cs2 also used in conjunctions with illustrator.
