All I ask for is "rational" proof.

You look to think of that chimpanzees and gorillas have not replaced lots. needless to say you're lacking the component there. They replaced from a single, itybity mutated RNA molecule created by ability of fierce electric storms billions of years in the past (this is been shown by experimentation that electrical energy can create RNA and easily enzymes). after which you question why chimps and monkeys have not progressed the two. it is by the fact they are terrific adapted to their environment. Howler monkeys progressed particularly large vocal chords so as that they might detect pod contributors from miles away interior the Amazon. Spider monkeys progressed with their long, skinny limbs and tail so as that they are in a position to return and forth interior the direction of the bushes instead of the floor. the floor is greater risky for them because of the fact they are extremely small and are probably prey. Snow monkeys progressed an extremely thick coat of water resistant fur so as that they might save heat interior the snowy mountain areas of Japan. you're complicated evolution with organic determination.

Like most religious people you do not seem to know the meaning of the word theory.

In science it means that it is the best explanation we have for certain events, based on all the available observations, experiments and measurements. And usually there are underlying mathematical laws which allow us to make predictions to test its validity. It is called a theory because we are always ready to discard it, if any one demonstrates that another explanation (theory), is in better agreement with the facts.

Unlike religion, we rely on proof and not on the prestige of the person who proposed it. And unlike religion, we honour and give prizes to those who demolish long held theories, rather than persecute them, excommunicate them, hate them and and kill them. Poor man! try to educate yourself a little.

What the heck is it with this 'just a theory' stuff??? A scientific Theory is perfectly valid. It is an EXPLANATION for our observations. Why do you let people who don't understand that drive the dialogue?

*laugh* It's "just" a theory like gravity is "just" a theory... and it in no way is meant to "prove" the existence of any deity.

But I get your point. If evolution were geared more towards meshing with scripture and didn't pose such a threat to their guess as to our origins, it wouldn't be so ridiculed.

Though... I don't know WHY they think it's such a threat since evolution DOESN'T speculate as the origins of all life.

The ToE has nothing to say one way or another about the existence of deities. It is only Creationists who refer to it as "just a theory"

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

Anything that man does is just a theory. If we have the sin of Pride telling us that we know everything then we are deluded into believing a lie.

evolution proves that god exists in a fairy tale book that man invented

Do Buddhist believe in god?

No. There are several reasons for this. Buddhism, like modern sociologists and psychologists, believed that religious ideas and especially the god idea, the god-concept have their origin in fear. In the Dhammapada it clearly states:
"Gripped by fear men go to the sacred mountains,
sacred groves, sacred trees and shrines".
Dp 188

Primitive man found himself in a dangerous and hostile world, the fear of wild animals, of not being able to find enough food, of injury or disease, and of natural phenomena like thunder, lightning and volcanoes was constantly with him. Finding no security, he created the idea of gods in order to give him comfort in good times, courage in times of danger and consolation when things went wrong. To this day, you will notice that people become more religious at times of crises, you will hear them say that the belief in a god or gods gives them the strength they need to deal with life. You will hear them explain that they believe in a particular god because they prayed in time of need and their prayer was answered. All this seems to support the Buddha’s teaching that the god-idea "is" a response to fear and frustration. Buddhism teaches us to try to understand our fears, to lessen our desires and to calmly and courageously accept the things we cannot change. He replaced fear, not with irrational belief but with rational understanding.

The second reason Buddhism does not believe in a god is because there does not seem to be any concrete evidence to support this idea. There are numerous religions, all claiming that they alone have god’s words preserved in their holy book, that they alone understand god’s nature, that their god exists and that the gods of other religions do not. Some claim that god is masculine, some that she is feminine and others that it is neuter. They are all satisfied that there is ample evidence to prove the existence of their god but they laugh in disbelief at the evidence other religions use to prove the existence of another god. It is not surprising that with so many different religions spending so many centuries trying to prove the existence of their god, or gods that still no real, concrete, substantial or irrefutable evidence has been found. “Buddhists suspend judgement until such evidence is forthcoming !!”

The third reason Buddhism does not believe in a god is that the belief is not necessary. Some claim that the belief in a god is necessary in order to explain the origin on the universe. But this is not so. Science has very convincingly explained how the universe came into being without having to introduce the god-idea. Some claim that belief in god is necessary to have a happy, meaningful life. Again we can see that this is not so. There are Millions of atheists and free-thinkers, not to mention over 9.8 million Buddhists, who live useful, happy, peaceful meaningful lives without belief in a god. Some claim that belief in god’s power is necessary because humans, being weak, do not have the strength to help themselves. Once again, the evidence indicates the opposite. One very often hears of people who have overcome great disabilities and handicaps, enormous odds and difficulties, through their own inner resources, through their own efforts and without belief in a god. Some claim that god is necessary in order to give man salvation. But this argument only holds good if you accept with a mere blind faith the theological concept of salvation and Atheists and Buddhists do not accept such a concept. Buddhism teaches that each human being has the capacity to transform the mind, develop infinite unconditional love, patience, and compassion AND perfect understanding. Buddhism shifts one’s attention from the heavens to the heart and encouraged us to find solutions to our problems through logic and through understanding.

Have a calm, peaceful, 2007'
