yes, being yourself makes you open for hurt, pain, shows your fears as well but it also opens you up for true happiness, and love. you take the good with the bad. not being yourself may keep you from pain for a bit until others realize who you really are then you lose people you thought cared about you cuz they cared about someone you were not. a hard lesson to learn but one worth learning. being yourself is always the best bet. the concept of looking in the mirror and not knowing who you're gonna be for the day is just too much of an extreme for me. bring on the pain as long as i'm still me when i go to bed at night.

yup you have to comfortable with being vulnerable seriously. But the way I get around is knowing that I am not the only one in this world who is doing this and most people go through this but the strong survive

yes it does. and thats the risk you take. especially concerning relationsips...you have to be vulnerable enough to take a risk in order to show someone else who you really are. by being yourself, you are letting down all guards and walls and opening yourself up tom someone with no limitations...and yeah that can be a scary thing, but you also don't want to fall in love with someone that you can't take risks with or be yourself around them. sometimes the scariest risks are the best ones you have ever made. but only you can judge for yourself whether the risk is worth it.
good luck!

hi,
not really, being yourself means know yourself know what you are about. not to let someone try to mold you. you mold yourself.it means that you have raised to think for you. not giving yourself to someone to mold for you.
