NOT A BJ haha...
go for the sentimentality... is that even a word? i don't know.. anyway... like... how about a card you made from scratch... get white paper fold it in half find a really sweet picture of ya'll (a pic that'll bring some nice memories) tape it in the front and write a sweet lil note inside...
or
get him something that means something to only the both of you... like for example.. my bf loves toblerone choclates... sooo i got him a box and put a post it on top sayin.. have fun eating these TO-be-Onez (inside joke) fatty...
ooorr
how about just spend time with him...
anyway goodluck

Countdown until someone says "********"...10...9...8...7...
Is it a *last* romantic gesture because you don't know what more you can do, or because you've pretty much checked out? If it's the latter...don't bother.
If it's the first one, why have you drifted apart? Are you genuinely growing apart? Are you both busy and unable to spend quality time together? Do you not communicate well? How good a match are you?
Heavy stuff aside...go with a gift that represents something special you two share...a picture of you together on a trip, framed; a DVD of the first movie you saw together. Something to say "you are special, and *we* are special."

Your LAST romantic gesture? You need to do something for him that lights up ALL his senses. Here is my idea which is probably good for Valentine's Day. Tend to him. Plan to shower with him, wash his hair, his body rinse him off and dry him. Have him lie down on your bed and massage his feet and his hands and any parts that you cannot resist. Dress him in the tuxedo you rented with a red rose boutinear and take a limo to a very romantic restaurant in a 5-star hotel. Some of this may be too much, so you can vary it as you see fit.

His favorite CD or Movie, but don't wrap it, just put a small bow on it. This is a very nice gesture, and, every time he watches the movie or listens to the CD, you will magically pop into his head, and maybe he will miss you!
