When a President dies, flags are flown at haft staff for 30 days. Ford died on Dec. 26th. The flags should be in their "full and upright positions" on or about Jan. 26th.

Presidents that have passed get the flag at half mast for 30 days in their honor. The same was done with President Reagan.

sometime replaced into long sufficient for somebody who wasn't even elected to any workplace or perhaps appointed a vice chairman. It replaced into the 1st take over of the presidency.( the 2nd replaced into 2000)
