It seems that Diet Coke is the one soda with the longest fizz time when you pour it -- especially over ice... Any ideas why, or what to do to minimize the wait time?

I've noticed this too. When it bubbles over, I know sticking your finger in the foam makes it go down. But I don't know how to lessen the overall effervescence.

Mythbusters did a special on that on the discovery chanel you should try droping a mintos in it and see what happens.
On mythbusteres they isolated the chemicles to determine witch ones cause the fizz but I dont remember witch one it was
