what a sad little collection of moronic assumptions you've got there.
none of which begin to dignify an answer.

Atheists do no longer pray. They lead lives wrought with an identical problems of the non secular, yet they do no longer seek for education from the unknown. An atheist ought to look to background, technology, & his fellow guy for the solutions that the non secular seek for from god. it ought to no longer be as common as kneeling in prayer, even though it would not make the solutions any much less friendly. Atheists could actually lead tougher lives than those of the non secular. they must dig deeper for the solutions to their questions & attempt greater good to locate purpose at the back of the flaws that they do. that's a solid concern, because it many times creates contemplative, loose-questioning persons.

Cults do some pretty odd things , and by cults I mean Christians too, but I have never felt the need to do anything even similar to praying.

Where do you learn such wisdom.

Who is your Master/Lord ?

Jesus is Master/Lord to christians.

In Matthew 7:1-5 Jesus states,

"Judge Not and criticize and condemn others, so that you will not be judged, criticized, and condemned yourselves.

For just as you judge, criticize, and condemn others you will be judged, criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you use to deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you.

'Why do you stare at the very small particle that is another's eye, but do not become aware of and consider the beam of timber that is in your own eye ?'

'How can you say to another, Let me get the tiny particle out of your eye, when there is a beam of timber in your own eye ?'

You Hypocrite, first get the beam of timber out of your own eye, and then you will See Clearly
to take out the tiny particle out of your brother's
eye."

The Holy Bible.

Whom do you obey ? Whom is your Master ?

Who's commandments do you choose to obey?

Jesus Himself said, "If you Love ME, You
will keep My commandments"

And Never to Judge another is a very important commandment that Jesus gave.

Is it not the scriptures that The Holy Spirit uses, to analyze the very thoughts, attitudes, and intents of your mind and heart ? Yes, it is.
Hebrews 4:12 states this in the bible.
Please with humility, read Heb. 4:12.

1 John 1:7 states that if a christian is really living and walking in the Light of the scriptures, as Jesus walked and lived in the light, there is fellowship/friendliness with other people, AND THEN the blood of Jesus cleanses that person from all their sin and guilt from their sins. And verse 8 states that you refuse to admit your sin, you delude your mind and yourself, and you lead yourself astray, and The Truth which the gospel presents is not in your heart, mind, and life.

The Spirit of God really does use the Scriptures to convict a christian unto repentance, if he or she is willing to humble themselves, and turn from their pride.
Having a humble teachable attitude is very Important to The Holy Spirit of God. OR else you are grieving The Holy Spirit.

The words of Jesus and John are excellent, and help a person if they observe them, to transform their mind AND their lives.

It didn't make any sense after you rephrased it, but to answer you're question it's called hoping. We hope, or even wish stuff happens, but we remain logical in the sense that it might not happen by magic.

Since my family is full of Christians, I'm the one who DOES something to help the situation while they all pray. It gets expensive!

fat lot of good your prayers have done. there's still evil in the world. and trillions of people still are damned to hell. in fact, it appears the one you pray to does nothing to ease the pain and suffereing of the world. and he also damns retarded people to hell. what a lovely thought! why don't we have the international NO PRAYER day and see what happens. i'll bet the world that nothing changes. prayer is as useful as gloves to an armless man.

They rely on themselves. Nothing wrong I guess. But the Lord offers his grace to all who will take it, take it before it's to late. He Loves us all and wants all his children in Heaven.

They live their lifes in their own little world not realizing the great gift of true life and love that God has for them on not just a day day to day basis, but on a spiritual plane. A true peacful existance that will last for eternity even after death.
