It happened for a reason.

A few years back I remember reading of an English bishop who stood in an ancient English cathedral and declared his homosexuality and his refusal to step down from the church. He declared that as long as that building stood, he would continue to preach. That night it was struck by lightning and burned to the ground.

Not all the "reasons" may be that clear or obvious. But there is always a reason for everything. When Joseph was sold into slavery, he did not know it was so he could save his entire nation in few years later. What people had meant for evil, God turned into good. He has a habit of doing that....

It does say that all those who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

These events serve to strengthen us, James wrote about this, saying to rejoice in these trials and suffering, because it produces Patience.

When a tragedy occures , like this or a death of any sort, it serves to bring people together, so these events just makes us stronger.

It is so sad that people should have so much hate in them to resort to burning the house of God.They are going to pay one way or the other. As christians we stand firm in our belief that God is great and he will repay the evil with good.

It did happen for a reason. Some goofball decided to douse it with something flammable and light it on fire.

"Revenge is mine, says the Lord."

He'll take care of it. :o)

To show the world that our fight is not against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness that is rampant in society today.

Yeah, and the reason is hate. Why else would you burn any place down? If I don't like your message, and I burn your house down, it's because of hate. (please note, I am not going to burn your house down, it's an example)
