is he missing the front little teeth? Did his puppy teeth fall out recently? Does he have terrible breath and really red and inflammed gums? does the lower jaw or upper jaw stick out or under much farther than the other one? Tounges that hang out of the mouth are usually dentally related, or he has some jaw muscle weakness. Its sadly something that comes along in small dogs, like Mini Poodles, Chinese crested, Chihuahuas, though I havent seen it much in yorkies. I guess suggestion is go for a check up at the vets, ask them to see whats up with his mouth if there is anything to do to correct it.

you're very fortunate that your dogs did not die, and he or she isn't unavoidably out of the woods yet. You do want to take her to the vet asap to make effective that she passes the placenta. Retained placentas will rot interior her and create an infection if no longer got rid of. this isn't some thing that you would possibly want to do your self....you should take her to a vet who will provide her a shot and probable even ought to do a c-area if she does nonetheless have any undelivered domestic dogs, alive or lifeless. because you do not have the adventure and on the grounds that you've a lady who's very small and does have difficulty turning in, you should guage having her spayed. if you end up making the alternative to reproduce her lower back, do not ignore that you may ought to have a c-area which will cost between $one thousand or extra depending upon what your vet prices and in case you wait till that is an emergency c-area at the same time as the cost is going with the help of the roof. The type of domestic dogs a lady will produce relies upon upon the type of eggs that she drops. Yorkies regularly have very small litters of one million - 4 domestic dogs with 4 being unusual. on the grounds that your woman in user-friendly words had one puppy, that's about what you may assume from her in destiny breedings. on the grounds that she must have a c-area, it isn't economically a possibility for her to be bred lower back. And in case you settle on to reproduce her and not in any respect do a c-area, you would no longer be as fortunate as you've been this time, and also you would lose your woman as well.

As a behaviouralist I've worked with thousands of dogs and have seen a "loose" tongue in many of the small breeds such as Yorkies, Chihuahua's etc. Even the odd large breed dog. Remember that making these small dogs is hard on their genetics and sometimes these quirks appear to a small or extreme degree. I've known dogs that their tongue hung completely out and down all the time. There was a video on America's Funniest Home Video's once of a large breed dog whose tongue hung out and down. If the dog appears comfortable with it and no visible signs of damage or irritation then accept and live with it.

I've seen this before. I was at a fair once and saw a yorkie
like that. I asked the owner and he said the doctor had just said the yorkie's tounge was too long for his little mouth. The owner said it was nothing to be concerned about. I thought it was adorable!!!

Take him to the vet to make sure there's nothing wrong with his jaw or teeth (it can be indicative of mouth problems). If there isn't, then I wouldn't worry. Some dogs just have this quirk

I hope not, I had a dog that did that and it was because he had teeth problems, get him looked at by the vet.

Well, if the tonque is swollen, your dog might have an infecton, but if it is not, then its probably just a puppy thing. :-)
