Were in North FL. She is skinny and has a less than insulated office, I have offered to move her vents so they point away from where she sits and she has pretty much refused. She has even admitted my area gets much hotter. Its not fair, I cant take clothes off. she Can put more on. And when I open the outside door to my office she makes comments such as " I guess youre not cold with that door open like that or wouldnt have it open" What the hell? Maybe I will just buy a lil ac fan. I personally find her actions rude.

I have fought the battle of cold and hot for years, generally when I work with men I am always cold...they like to be frigid at all times. But when I work with women I tend to be the hot one. I think that you need to get management involved, agree on a temperature and put a lock box over the thermostat, if that means she buys a sweater so be it, and perhaps you will need to get a small fan to set on your desk. The recommended temps are 68 in winter and 72 in summer so I would bet that she will lose in the battle of the thermostat. Good luck

What? 78 degrees? Isn't this a waste of energy? Put it at 70 and put on a sweater! For goodness sakes!

Where do you work? (what state?). It's 72 here(inside) and we have people who are hot and cold. Most of us who are cold just wear sweaters. We are saving our workplace money buy not turning up the thermostat.

I work in N.E.Ohio. It's about 20 degrees outside. 2 with the wind chill factor.
