fresh and fresh bottled is best as the canning and freezing processes deplete vitamins, but frozen is the next best if you can't get fresh.
it really depends on the store- really cheap 'value' brands have lesser quality oranges, but most store brands are ok.

Fresh from the fruit is best, always.
Citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit etc) are always better eaten rather than juiced or at least served with the pulp. Why? Because the juice on it's own is super-quick-sugar-to-the-bloodstream unless it has the fruity-fibre to cling too. If you ever get a headache in the morning after an orange juice, this sugar rush is probably the reason why.
Bottled juices that are from concentrate are the least healthy option; even 'freshly squeezed' juice in a bottle isn't always a good option - you'll find that juice has been pasteurised (heated) in order to preserve it for shipping and stocking.
Also, a European study has recently shown that plastic bottles leach toxins, so any plastic container may not be doing the fruit juice much good. I'm not sure about cartons - they still have a plastic lining.
Frozen juice is generally the best option (as long as it's not frozen concentrate or frozen pasteurised) since up to 90% of the nutrients remain intact. Having said that, thawed juice from many fruits doesn't taste great.
I'm a bit of a juicing fan (my blog is below) and would always recommend that you grab a citrus press (a bit of manual squishing is good exercise too) for under $10/£6 and press your own juice, pulp and all. You can also benefit from slightly damaged fruits that are easier to squish and often more full of flavour (many of the tastier fruits are not sold on supermarket shelves and many damaged fruits are really just naturally bruised but no less scrumptious).
If you are very keen, grab a juicer ($60/£30) and juice your fruit and veg. Carrot and apple (crapple) makes a great, sweet base for all of your juice adventures. For the complete set, grab a blender so that you can mix your juices with other things that you can't juice (like bananas or ice).
So, bottom line. Make your own fresh juice and get 100% of the nutrients. There is no real substitute.

I doubt they used damaged fruit for juice. I prefer fresh squeezed. However, there are some good brands outhere that are adding more vitamins to the juice, some vitamins that regular juice wouldn't have. I don't like frozen juice, it tastes weird. I go for bottle. Besides do you really have the time to squeeze 4 oranges in order to get a decent glass of juice?? I don't

Fresh is always the best as quality decreases after the fruit is cut. Frozen is good because it does not have additives in it to keep it fresh. The best fruit is sold as fresh fruit. The less good looking is sold to be canned or frozen. The quality does not really decrease, just the looks. You can get good looking fruit that has no flavor. Vitamins vary with growth circumstances and treatment. I am sure that the farmers harvested all that they could after the frost and sent them to be canned or frozen to whom ever would buy the fruit. Money talks.

If you are looking for the best fruit/ veggie juice go for the fresh squeezed, and check the ingredient list. It may say all natural but it still may contain artificial sweeteners and coloring. Frozen juices are just as good (although more likely to be from concentrate, and to contain artificial sweeteners, colour enhancers, and other chemicals). Try and organic store, it is more expensive but you actually know what you are ingesting.

Fresh, my dear, what else? The vitamins are still alive, the smell is wafting around, and nothing is added to preserve it. Lots of unpleasant chemicals get to work to preserve things. It's certainly not the real stuff anymore.
As for damaged stuff, poor people eat it, really. And then some un-good folks squeeze them for juice. OR, they are dumped to be turned into fertilizers.
I am wildly guessing, but I see some of this happening liberally in my neck of the woods.

Actually the best you can do for yourself is to have the orange itself. Vitamins and nutrients are lost in the squeezing process.
