When you take her in for a check up at your vet (which you should always do within a few days of getting any new dog), they will be able to give you some idea of age and possibly breed or mixes she may be.

If your dog is full gown then it may be hard to tell. A vet could give you a good idea. They will go by the condition of your dogs teeth and eyes. Activity level wont tell you. You could also go to a local human society and tell them you found this dog abandoned and you are going to keep him, tell them you want to know his average age. They will help you and might even get you a discount on exam and shots because you are rescuing.

you should take her to the vets as they would have a good idea on what breed she is and they can give you a rough age for her , depending on where you got her from you should of been told her age and breed if you don't no much about her make sure you get her checked out she might need her jabs .

Ask the vet when you take her in for her vaccinations. She probably isn't up to date on them. The vet can usually tell by her teeth, a least a "guess ta meant" of her age.
Thank you for taking on the responsibility of an abandoned animal...they're so many of them and so few of people like you. Good luck, maybe you've found a lifelong friend!
XOXOXO

I have the same problem. My dog was roaming the street and we found him. After posting ads in the paper, and nobody claiming him, we decided to keep him. So, now we are taking him to the vet to see how old he is.

The vet can give you an approximate age. Try taking him there, you'll also need to get him checked out by the vet.

You should take her to the vet to get her checked out...shots and all. Then ask your vet what age and breed she is. Ur vet will be able to tell.
