The holy spirit is our self intellect that distinguishes the good and evil and separates the Right from the wrong.
Jesus said in order for you to receive internal life you must believe in him,
(where do you get your information??)
We are all born with an intellect that is why there is a choice. you ether follow his way, or you can go against his teachings, God loves you regardless but since he gave you an intellect to choose, you can ether love him or hate him. When we get judged on judgment day that's when he separates us.
Matthew 13: 30
you must read from the start of the chapter in order to understand the message.
??"sunshine" You may not believes the devil but he sure believes in you.
What a statement, I need to stop answering these questions.

In both cases one must initially give an invitation. A demon can't just pop in un invited to possess someone. The person has to open a door and give them authority to be there., like indulging in occult practices.
With the Holy Spirit, one invites Him in the door opened through Jesus Christ.

they cant be. infact to say that people CAN be, would be giving "the devil" a power like god called "omnipresence" being that he could be everywhere at once.
furthermore, did u know that back in the day these "posessions" held very similar characteristics to our mentally handicap?
how did u expect a person from 100AD to explain what mental retardation is and how it works and come up with an actual term for it? especially when religion was such a huge part of society?

Ppl can't be possessed by the devil. It is in their heads....just as being filled the the holy ghost is. It is a terrible fiction that has led many into the depths of insanity.

Satan is only able to be in one place at one time... so it is a demon under him that possesses an individual... God is able to be omni present... The Holy Spirit is that portion of God that indwells those who come to God as He prescribes... only those who come to God as He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and the indweling of The Holy Spirit... and only those will enter Heaven.... those possessed by The Holy Spirit are not "controled", they are not slaves......... those possessed by demons are under the control of the demon.
The souls of those who belong to God are free

Yes but either way, you need to make sure the "possession" doesn't take you over as a person. It is important you retain your own identity and truely understand what you are doing while possessed otherwise, I would question it regardless of the source.

In the last couple months there have been quite a few people from my church getting delivered from demons. This one lady you would have never known that she would have so many in her! there was a little group that another lady in my church saw and opened the door so they would leave the church! my best friend also got delivered! So the Lord is just emptying them out so He can fill them up with His Spirit!!

This is Satan's world.
We, as Christians, are not immune to being attacked by Satan and the powers of Hell.
I believe in posession.
Just an example: I believe the man who entered the Amish school, barracaded himself in with the little girls and then executed some of them and killed himself WAS likely posessed.

my point of view, you don't have to believe in the devil. He will send his demons whether you like it or not. As for our Creator, GOD. He can beat satan and his demons if you only believe in him. WHICH I DO.
