My male friend and i have been friends for about 6 months and have been having sex for 1. We are good friends, and neither of us have a significant other. Valentines day is coming up and i want to spend it with him but i dont want to cross the line and jepordized our understanding. Not to mention my birthday is the day after which is vicious. Should i let him make the move or take it upon on myself to do something and just let him know he is mine for that night? I was thinking of getting a room and doing something really nice, although he isnt my man i know he would appreciate the jesture. Or should i just lay low and get him a sweet goody bag and a card? which is less likely to jepordize the already complicated relationship we have.

First off, you aren't just friends. "Friends with benefits" is just a euphamism for a sadly shallow relationship. I know this isn't your intention, but that's what's going on. Either you two need to establish the full nature of your relationship, or you need to be just friends. Friends don't have sex with friends.
In other ways, either establish prior to Valentine's day that you two are in a meaningful relationship, or leave him. If he isn't willing to take the next step, then, to quote the earlier comment, you're just a piece of tail to him.

See what he does. Hint that its your birthday. But dont ask. And give him something ONLY if he gives you something first. Dont do the room-thing. You want to keep a friend-let him make a move. You want potential boyfriend-tell him how you feel. Un-complicate stuff. Its very rewarding! Even if he just wants you just for sex.

LOL You're screwing a guy you don't care about for no reason, yet you want to spend Valentine's day with him, but you're afraid if you do, he'll stop screwing you? You need the gift of self-esteem. You don't have a relationship, you have a guy who screws you - you're not friends and you're not "Valentines".
Ask him to pay you next time- it's what you're acting like.

You're just a piece of tail. You don't get a Vday gift. What's complicated about your "relationship"? You're a piece of tail.

As long as neither of you have someone else...you guys should go out on Vday.

Hope this helps. :-)
