and whats the difference?

not from all I have read.the difference is vista consumes large amounts of ram must have min 1g just to run vista.xp is better at this time,they might fix all the bugs latter but right now I would stay away from it.

Vista will probably be a more secure operating system eventually, but at this point I'm hearing a lot of complaints about it....not "playing well" with other programs that work fine under XP, driver issues, etc. Microsoft is good about coming up with fixes with this sort of thing, but for now I'd hold off on changing to Vista.

Vista is supposed to be and upgrade of XP, but I'm not hearing any good reviews of Vista.
