Ok, Devanna, relax...what is happening is that the congestion has gotten into your ears. Nothing more, nothing less. A good decongestant will really help...some Vitamin C too. For decongestants, I use Mullein or Licorice (No licorice if there are any heart issues)

Good luck, and feel better. I am at windstarhealing@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but there is something called Sudden Onset Deafness. It can be caused by a virus, which is what a cold is, and it can destroy the nerves in your ear. It usually happens only to one ear. Sometimes you get part of the hearing back in that ear after some time. There are treatments, steroidal, to reduce the swelling along the nerves. These treatments are most effective when they are given as soon as possible after the onset. SOD effects 2,000 - 3,000 people per year. Get to your doctor ASAP tell him / her your symptoms and mention Sudden Onset Deafness as a possibility. Good Luck!

Just congestion, no big deal. If it doesn't pop soon, or if you get ear aches, you should talk to a doctor who will probably prescribe you antibiotics. The tiny tube that runs from your outer ear canal into the back of your throat is likely just irritated from the cold causing fluid to get trapped behind your ear. Check out Yahoo! Health for middle ear infection info.

It happens. Sometimes your ears will plug up when you are sick. They'll be back to normal after you are over your cold. If you're really worried about it, you can go to the doctor and get it checked out.
