Chiropractors are usually accused of having patients come for visits more that needed. I suppose anyone with a similar business can fall under that accusation. However, my experience has been a bit different. I have had help from my chiropractor and he doesn't require me to go anymore than I feel the need. I am also not the type to become dependent on one. I go when needed and I do applaud him for helping me considering the alternative, which was surgery.

Some of the young new chriropractors try and get you to buy packages where you keep coming for months and months. Be wary if your Chiropractor thinks that he or she can fix everything even stuff like depression and is a health and wellness expert.
My advise is to go to a old guy with years of experience. They might not have all the fancy equipment, but they know what they are doing. Instead of 10 or 20 visits, he will fix you in 3 or 4 visits. And because he or she had lets say 30 or so years of experience, they don't really need your money and their fees are usually cheaper.

I started doing "Trigger Point Therapy" in addition to seeing a chiropractor a while back and I haven't seen a chiropractor in months. TPT works the swollen triggers in muscles to release tension and realign joints. It's great! Most neck and spine pain is caused by muscles which are having spasms that will cause the spine to be kept in misalignment. It's been great for me, and in total the book and manipulation tools (baseball and a roller) cost less than $50 and that has been the total investment. The book I use is listed below.

I love the Chiropractor! I think that it is a little addictive. You don't realize how bad it hurts to have your neck out of wack until you go in and have it adjusted. The pain seems almost unbareable ( can't spell ) if you don't don't go and have it done again.
