Hi there
Your problem might depend upon how long you have been an alcoholic.
The issue with food might be caused by excessive stomach acid, burnt out liver, etc.
Firstly my friend I suggest you adjust your mind to KILL THE BOOZE for 48hours, then another 1, then another1, etc.
You will possibly feel ****, depending upon your actual intake but the eventual goal is truly worth it.
Drink black tea, not too strong with a little sugar as this is an excellent detox agent.
Feel frustrated and in a 'living hell' well that is part of the process -brilliant thing is that it does not last for long.
Go for a walk, talk to mates for hours, have a bath, tear up newspapers, stalk round the house - whatever excites you as leaving the 'DEMON' alone for just 48 hours is worth it.
Don't promise yourself anything, other than one very simple rule and that is 'MY OBJECTIVE FOR TODAY IS TO SURVIVE'
Remember you are not answerable to anyone other than to yourself, hence be true to yourself and admit that booze is controlling you rather than the other way round.
Who am I?
A reformed, failed, reformed alcoholic who never thought it would happen to him.
Stay in contact, should you wish and you will come through.

You're probably inclined to drink on empty stomach - alcohol on empty stomach a lot not good. Stomach complaining loudly as probably doesn't know what to do with food. Try eating small, light meals with as much nutrition in as possible, and do try to go to dr to get some additional help. Admiting you're an alcoholic is the most important step, so well done.

First, quit the booze. Medical detox for a couple days probably needed. Then, when I quit, I ate small, soft foods meals and drank plenty of supplement drinks (like Ensure). I'll be sober 6 months tomorrow and am able to eat just fine now. Good luck!

There are plenty of things that can go wrong with the digestive tract because of alcohol from cancer to ulcers. That also goes for organs like the liver, pancreas and gall bladder directly affected by the passage of alcohol.
Go to your doctor, get qualified advice, or ring NHS direct if in Britain

You've hurt your stomach and digestive system. I know a lot of people who went through that. They'd get up in the morning, eat some food, vomit it all up and start their daily drinking. That's really bad. Your liver must be shot. You wonder what could be causing this?? You KNOW it's your drinking. Please go to the hospital and get detoxed.

Sounds like your stomach is extremely upset due to the excess alcohol in your system. Have you consulted with a doctor? I think you should. Good luck.

Are you having stomach pain too? If so, may have alcoholic pancreatitis, which is serious.
If not, it could be gastritis. Nausea and vomiting in itself is a side effect of alcoholism. Please get help...you're not well.
