We've been together for 2 years now and throughout the relationship I have had a gut feeling that they have been in contact more than what he has led on. I recently went through his phone records (i'm not proud of doing that, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do, right?) and found out that he was calling her from his cell phone during the day and talking from 5 to 40 mins at a time at least 6 times during a month. On the home phone he calls her at least once a month on his day off and speaks for about 25 mins. From what I can see it started near her birthday and their wedding anniversary date. He claims she calls him and he just returns the call to see what she wants, but why talk for so long? When I talk to him about this he gets upset and defensive. Is there some way I can approach this and him not get mad. He tells me he's tired of hearing about it and I should move on from the subject. Is there any questions I should ask him about this?

These two people have nothing attaching them together like kids for example. So what do they need to talk about?

Oh! I almost forgot, they have also exchanged email address. He says, she wants to email pics of her new house and the dogs. He assures me nothing is going on. Would it be wrong of me to ask if I could read his emails, to see if they have been contacting each other that way?
