Will i get a better exchange rate with USD?

Well best answer would be to exchange some into Baht's just for taxi costs and suchlike before you get back to the hotel and settled in.
You wont find alot of difference which currency you change into bahts, but more exchange places in Bangkok will take american dollars.
If you have a credit card/Debit card i would just get some money out via the ATM's, there are loads everywhere u look

USD definitely has better exchange value.

I would carry USD, they take the US currency everywhere. It is easy to change to baht.
