Yes, it can. Call your doctor. You either need a dose adjustment or a different medication. You don't have to suffer with your depression. Please, if you aren't feeling better, there are other meds they can try that work in different ways on your brain chemistry. Stick with it.

Maybe it is due to a change in hormones, which can have effect on medications such as Zoloft.
If you are sure that it is not working anymore, I would speak to your doctor about it, there are others that are similar to Zoloft and perhaps switching to one of the others will help you.
I am not sure if Zoloft can lose it's effect over time, I think it's a change in your body that is causing this.

Sounds like your medication may need to be adjusted. Talk to your doctor. Factors to be considered is the size of your current dosage, any other medications you are taking, how long you've been on Zoloft and if there have been any major changes in your life.

Zoloft has never worked for me,
but with that I could have made a new record in any sport !!
Do you realize that people here are not doctors and that those kind of medecine is not intended to play with ? Ask your doctor about that !

Ok, so your Zoloft isn't working. There are many SSRI's and maybe you aren't on the right one for you. It took the Doctor 5 years to find the right anti-depressant for me (Celexa)
Tell your Doc and have him switch you. If you don't have disability insurance, don't quit....just hang in there as long as you can.

Yes, drugs that effect your brain can stop working, just as the drinker who used to get high on 2 beers now needs 4 beers and a whiskey chaser.
The reason these drugs don't work is because they effect the brain, and the brain is usually not the problem- it's the endocrine system.

Yes it can, considering the dose I would suggest going to your doctor and asking them to either increase how much you take or increase the milligrams.
