Leaving home to attend college provides an opportunity to experience life in different ways. You will be limiting yourself if you plan to continue with a high school relationship.

Your social life will be cut in half. You won't feel a part of the college community if you are running back and forth to your home town so you and the young man can see each other.

You want to participate in as many events and activities that are offered while in college. The connections you make during these years will be valuable to you once you graduate and start working.

If you and your high school sweetheart are meant to be, you'll get back together later on.
